The Possum Problem 2020

Possums are introduced pests who were shipped to NZ in 1837 by British settlers, they didn't know it would cause huge trouble. Possums were shipped to NZ because of their fur!!.

When possums were brought in new zealand , British settlers used the possum fur to make a fur trade for clothes and money. A few years later in 1920 possums became a big problem: possums were destroying  our nature and our native birds were trying to survive. Then people noticed that possums are destroying everything so they planned to hunt possums by making traps. By 2050 NZ has pledged to be pests-free. Hopefully with and population controls measures 143 years after it's arrival.

There is more than one pest , weasel, rat, cat, goat, mouse, wallaby, stoat.
That are that pests.
